PostArt Ensemble
Being part of the "Postart Ensemble" has been a truly enriching and beautiful experience. This unique band seamlessly blends the rich and vibrant melodies of Balkan music with the boundless creativity of contemporary improvisation, creating a musical tapestry that is both evocative and exhilarating.
From the moment I joined the ensemble, I was captivated by the sheer diversity of sounds and textures we explored together. Each rehearsal and performance became a journey of discovery, as we wove together traditional Balkan melodies with innovative improvisational techniques, pushing the boundaries of conventional music and venturing into uncharted territories of sonic exploration.
What made being part of the "Postart Ensemble" so special was not just the music itself, but the sense of camaraderie and collaboration that permeated every aspect of our work. Each member brought their own unique perspective and expertise to the table, creating a synergistic energy that elevated our performances to new heights.
Whether we were delving into the intricate rhythms of Bulgarian folk music or exploring the modal harmonies of Serbian brass bands, there was always a sense of joy and spontaneity in our music-making process. The freedom to experiment and improvise allowed us to create music that was both deeply rooted in tradition and boldly innovative in its approach.
But perhaps the most beautiful aspect of being part of the "Postart Ensemble" was the way in which our music resonated with audiences. Whether performing in intimate club settings or on grand concert stages, we had the privilege of connecting with listeners on a profound level, transcending cultural boundaries and touching hearts with our music.
As I reflect on my time with the "Postart Ensemble," I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a talented and visionary group of musicians. Our shared passion for Balkan music and contemporary improvisation has left an indelible mark on me, and I will always cherish the memories of our musical adventures together.

HipHop / Rap Piano Collaborations
As a pianist, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with hip-hop bands, bringing a unique musical perspective to their sound. Through these collaborations, I've delved into the dynamic world of hip-hop, blending my piano skills with the genre's rhythmic beats and lyrical storytelling.
In the studio and on stage, I've worked closely with band members to craft piano arrangements that complement their tracks, adding depth and emotion to the music. From soulful melodies to dynamic improvisations, my goal has always been to enhance the overall vibe of the songs while staying true to the essence of hip-hop.
These collaborations have been both creatively fulfilling and enriching, allowing me to contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of hip-hop music. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with talented artists and look forward to continuing to push boundaries and explore new musical horizons in the future.

Coplas y Cuplés en España
A beautiful collaboration with Joyce Cheung
Collaborating on singing coplas and cuplés of Spain was a journey steeped in tradition, culture, and political significance. These musical genres, deeply rooted in Spanish history, serve as both a form of entertainment and a means of political and social commentary, making them an integral part of the country's musical heritage.
Coplas and cuplés have long been used as vehicles for expressing political revindications, often serving as a platform for marginalized voices to be heard. Through witty lyrics, clever wordplay, and poignant melodies, these songs shed light on pressing social issues, challenge societal norms, and advocate for change.
One of the reasons why cuplés hold such importance in the music history of Spain is their ability to blend entertainment with social critique. Originating in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, cuplés were often performed in cabarets, theaters, and music halls, providing audiences with a form of escapism while also addressing pressing political and social issues of the time.
The theatrical element of cuplés is equally significant, as these songs were often accompanied by elaborate stage performances, costumes, and choreography. This theatricality added an extra layer of depth and impact to the music, captivating audiences and enhancing the overall message being conveyed.
Moreover, coplas and cuplés have served as a means of preserving cultural identity and heritage. By drawing on traditional Spanish rhythms, melodies, and themes, these songs provide a window into the rich tapestry of Spanish culture, allowing listeners to connect with their roots and celebrate their heritage.
Collaborating on singing coplas and cuplés provided an opportunity to engage with this rich musical tradition while also shining a light on contemporary political issues. Through our performances, we were able to pay homage to the artists who came before us, while also using our voices to advocate for a more just and equitable society.
In essence, singing coplas and cuplés is not just about entertaining audiences—it's about using music as a tool for social change, fostering dialogue, and inspiring action. By harnessing the power of music and theater, we can continue to honor the legacy of these iconic genres while also shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
