MY LAST ALBUM
¨MAGIC JAZZ MASALAS¨

Creative Journey

2024-2025

In 2024 and 2025, I devoted time to revisiting and reorganising my previous work — a quiet pause to understand where I come from and where I want to go next.

One of the clearest insights from this process has been the decision to let go of Ena Marley, a name and character that accompanied me through many creative stages. I treasure everything that identity gave me, but today I feel the need to reunite all my work under my own name (or something very close to it, hehe) — Ena Longares — to create from a place of greater authenticity and continuity, where all my artistic expressions as BGM composer, illustrator, and musician can coexist.

My love for jazz, for reinterpreting classical works, and for the textures of electronic and trip-hop music remains very present. Yet I now recognise that this approach belongs to a different branch of my creative tree — one that thrives through collaboration and reinterpretation.

From that understanding was born Kokum Project: a space to explore versions, hybrid sounds, and musical dialogues that blend jazz, electronics, and improvisation. It’s a lovely band that I lead, where we’ll be exploring jazz, bossas, and songwriting pieces with a very personal blend and touch. You are all going all to love it !. Reorganising these worlds has taken time, alongside other personal processes I needed to honour. But I now feel ready — recharged and inspired — to step fully into 2026 with new energy and a clear sense of direction.
