I have been teaching piano for many years now. I believe that learning an instrument — especially the piano (since it’s the field I know best, of course) — is a true journey into one’s inner self.
It requires practice, mental clarity, discipline, and above all, self-love and self-care. All of these qualities are part of life itself, and they are also essential for playing an instrument like the piano with depth and honesty.
Throughout my career, I have tried to guide my students not only in the technical aspects of music but also in understanding how their own personal and psychological traits influence the final result. I encourage them to connect as deeply as possible with their inner hearing, and to let that connection guide their musical direction and growth.
Music is an abstract art — one that allows us to access a different world of emotions, but only if we follow certain principles and cultivate true listening. It is a fascinating adventure, and one that I love to share with my students.
